What do you do when the other shoe drops?
Ainsley Kennedy is having a rough year. She filed for divorce after twelve years of marriage. Shortly after that she’s fired from her job. Without a steady income she’s forced to put her house up for sale. Things are not going well.
She and her two sons, Ramsey and Sawyer, go to live with her mom temporarily. When that situation deteriorates, Ainsley is forced to take drastic action and leave. The problem is that now she has nowhere else to go. Overnight she finds herself homeless with two little kids in tow. In January. In the cold tundra of Pittsburgh.
Ainsley knows she can’t do this on her own. She needs to find a job and a place to call home—pronto. Using all the resources she has available, she begins a difficult journey to restore them to independence. The obstacles are many and come from all sides. Will she be able to turn things around and find the stability that they need to survive as a family?
This is a story about the resilience of a determined woman who won’t settle for what circumstances have handed her. And the power of family that supports each other in order to stay together.
